GRADUATE RECRUITMENT INFORMATION

The work is varied, interesting and demanding. Engineers are encouraged to generate and develop their own ideas and to handle a wide range of technical issues. They are expected to produce and communicate appropriate designs that match the aesthetic aspirations of the architect. They then manage the building contracts to install their designs.
To develop these skills, graduates need to be self-starters with a good understanding of physics and an interest in design. Graduates from scientific, engineering and mathematics backgrounds are recruited for their potential, and to contribute their diverse expertise to the group.
We require a minimum grade of 2:1 or above, or the equivalent.
We consider applications for all three offices; London, Cambridge and Edinburgh. Start dates are ongoing and salary expectations for the first year are between £20,000 and £24,000. Partnership with profit-share may be offered after 4 years.
Training and Development
Engineers work in project teams and are trained by senior engineers on the job and through a series of seminars to be proficient in all aspects of the design and contract work of the building programme. This usually includes time out of the office at meetings and site visits. Each Graduate is assigned a mentor and graduates are encouraged to work towards Chartered Engineer status. Salaries are reviewed in the new year, with an across-the-board rise every summer.
