Employer of the Year Hat-trick!

10 October 2014

In American sport they call it a 'three-peat'. We'll happily call it 'hat-trick'.

Max Fordham was crowned for the third consecutive year in the medium-sized firms category at last night's CIBSE Employer of the Year Awards.

Accepting the award on behalf of the Practice was Senior Partner, Alasdair Reid. 'We're delighted, of course,' Alasdair said after the presentation. 'We've done a lot of work to make Max Fordham a great place to work.' He noted that this year brings added significance. 'It's really satisfying winning it this year, the third in a row. It shows we haven't become complacent. We are still striving to improve our learning and development programmes across the practice.'

Alasdair also said that conditions for employers are changing. 'Indications are that the market is picking up. This makes it more competitive to recruit and retain the best talent, and that's always what we've sought to do.'

The awards, hosted annually at the headquarters of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in Westminster focuses on the encouragement and development of young engineers. Max Fordham’s in-house training, dedication to mentoring, knowledge-sharing and active engagement, as well as the ability to become a partner in the firm, were all key factors to the Practice’s win.
