Remembering Anni

Everyone at Max Fordham was saddened to learn of the passing of Anni Burley (also known to many as Anne Snow) over the weekend.

Anni was a founding member of the Practice and played a key role in establishing Max Fordham as a partnership. She was a dedicated engineer, leading jobs and earning a reputation for being obsessive about getting the details right.

Over the course of her career she altered her role within the Practice to focus more heavily on administration. She was responsible for negotiating and agreeing our appointments and quickly became a formidable lead negotiator for design teams.

Anni retired from the Practice in 2009. This allowed her to pursue her passion for singing and she joined a choir that travelled all over Europe performing concerts. It was while rehearsing on Saturday night that she was taken ill and rushed to University College Hospital.

Anni is survived by husband Brian and their son, Chog. Our thoughts are with all of Anni’s family and friends.
