Teaching Tomorrow's Architects

16 February 2016

As part of Max Fordham's commitment to designing and constructing better buildings, a number of engineers within the Practice are helping to teach the architects of tomorrow.

Serving as visiting tutors to a number of Universities in the UK, the Max Fordham team aim to forge closer links between architecture and environmental engineering.

Hareth Pochee is one Max Fordham engineer who has been tutoring at both The University of Greenwich and The Bartlett over the last five years. He draws upon nearly two decades’ experience at Max Fordham to teach students holistic environmental strategies, building physics, human thermal comfort and energy flows in buildings. This year he'll be focusing on climatic responsive design of form, choice of materials and use of technologies.

These lectures provide students with a solid grounding in environmental areas such as daylight, ventilation, heating and cooling.

You can catch the Max Fordham team at Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Dundee, University of Edinburgh, The Edinburgh School of Architecture, Robert Gordon University, Bath University, London Metropolitan University, Birmingham School of Architecture and Cambridge University.
