Burkina Faso Project in the Frame

An exhibition of the works of photographer Grant Smith has opened at the Building Centre, detailing his visit to Burkina Faso, West Africa last year.

Titled 'Upright and Educated', the exhibition focuses on his trip to a school project that Max Fordham completed with development charity, Article 25 and the local community in the town of Gourcy. His close documentation of the site includes the building and its impact on students and the community.

Max Fordham's Developing Countries team works on community projects on a pro bono basis. The school is a series of low-energy buildings, accommodating a large number of pupils comfortably in the searingly hot climate.
