David joined Max Fordham LLP after graduating in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College, with a year abroad at The University of Sydney in 2005. David became a partner of Max Fordham LLP in 2010.
Since joining the Practice, David has been involved in a wide range of schemes, including the refurbishment of the Royal Festival Hall in London where he developed an innovative borehole cooling system and the North Wall Performing Arts Centre at St. Edwards School, Oxford, which was awarded the RIBA South Conservation Award in 2008.
David relishes working as part of multi-disciplinary teams, incorporating integrated engineering proposals into overall building designs and seeing his work through to completion. He is currently working as Project Engineer on an extension at Brentwood School, Essex. The new performance block will house classrooms, offices and a 400 seat auditorium in a mix of new-build and refurbished areas and will be heated by a high-efficiency ground-source heating system.
In his role as a mechanical responsible engineer, David contributes to the high quality of design output of the practice by maintaining an overview of projects within his engineering group and carrying out QA reviews.
David is a keen sportsperson and has played competitive football from a young age. He also enjoys learning languages and is fluent in German, with conversational knowledge of French, Italian and Spanish.
