David graduated in Physics from UCL and joined Sainsbury’s PLC as a graduate in their finance department which he pursued for almost 2 years. He then studied for an MSc in environmental design and engineering in architecture and shortly after finishing he joined BRE Ltd.

His work at the BRE was centred in the BREEAM centre, helping to run and develop the commercial and domestic environmental assessment schemes.. He played a key role in developing the Code for Sustainable Homes, managing the development of several sections including energy, acoustics and & ecology.

Since joining Max Fordham LLP in July 2007, David has carried out a number of BREEAM assessments under various standard and bespoke schemes, as well as providing BREEAM advice to design teams.

David is a qualified BREEAM assessor for Offices, Schools (including Higher Education), Multi-Residential, Bespoke, International and Ecohomes.
