Engineer

Hero joined the Max Fordham Cambridge office after working in Fuel Cell development, initially working as a services engineer on a number of low energy buildings including Krishna Avanti Primary School, the first publicly-funded faith based Hindu school in the UK which achieved a BREEAM Excellent score.

Hero is now working as a sustainability consultant in the Sustainability Team after completing a masters at the Centre for Sustainable Development at Cambridge University where her thesis looked at how to incorporate urban heat island mitigation into a new urban development as part of a sustainable design.

She is currently working on a range of projects including advising on the sustainability within the design team of an urban extension masterplan, and looking at the embodied carbon and material selection of a new private house.

Hero is an associate member of the Institute of Physics.
