James Rene
MEng AMIOA
Engineer
James joined Max Fordham LLP after graduating in Engineering at Peterhouse, Cambridge in 2005.
He has worked as a Mechanical & Electrical design engineer at various project stages, from early-stage concept design to on-site design and construction phases. He has experienced communicating and coordinating with various stakeholders, design team members and contractors, contributing towards deliverable solutions, as well as providing design advice for achieving BREEAM ratings often assessed within the practice for many of the projects.
James has also particularly developed experience in the sustainable environmental design for performing arts venues, auditoria, and schools, from passive natural ventilation to low energy lighting schemes. He would have a keen interest in exploring and developing these concepts on all future projects where feasible.
James is a Graduate member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineering (CIBSE). He is also an acoustician, part of the Acoustics Working Group within the practice, and is currently an Associate Member of the Institution of Acoustics (AMIOA). He has completed the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control, and is working on a wide range of acoustics projects alongside building services design.
James is an active member of both CIBSE & IOA and is keen on following and contributing to the latest developments in the engineering and acoustics disciplines.
