Engineer

Jasper Rea graduated with a first in Mechanical Engineering from Napier University, Edinburgh and joined Max Fordham LLP in 2003 as an engineer for the design of mechanical and electrical services.

On Edinburgh Telford College campus relocation, he developed and coordinated the mechanical and electrical services for main fit out elements of the contract. He worked in close liaison with the client, the design team and the contractor for the kitchens, science laboratories, hair dressing/beauty salons along with radio and TV production areas.

He is currently the job engineer for the environmental design for the new Gateway building at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, working with Edward Cullinan Architects. He has also carried out day lighting and sun path analysis for Culloden Visitors Centre exhibition spaces along with day lighting analysis for Freeman’s Place Leisure Centre and Bathgate pool.

Jasper is currently completing  training to become a BREEAM Schools assessor.
