Engineer
Jeremy joined Max Fordham LLP as a graduate engineer in 2006 after finishing a four-year masters degree in mechanical engineering, specialising in fluid mechanics and automatic control.
Since joining the Practice Jeremy has been involved on a number of projects, including sports centres, student accommodation and primary and secondary schools. Working primarily on the design of mechanical systems, daylight and artificial lighting, Jeremy took on these aspects of design on the recently completed City Academy, Hackney.
Jeremy has also been involved in determining strategies and concept designs for a student accommodation building on Mile End Road, East London. He was the author of the energy strategy document addressing The London Plan and worked on the project up to planning application stage. As part of the study he produced a detailed assessment of renewable energy options for the site.
Jeremy is currently working in the role of Project Engineer on Emmanuel Church of England Primary School, West Hampstead. The project involves the refurbishment of the existing school for use as a nursery and the design of a new 1FE primary school on an adjacent site. The new school will utilise ground duct ventilation as a response to acoustic difficulties on the site.
