Jess is part of the Sustainability Team at Max Fordham. She has a particular interest in integrating sustainability infrastructure with the architecture in urban design, and has worked on various mixed-use masterplans and international feasibility studies, looking at (amongst other things) strategic energy and water schematics for the projects.
She is currently working on several projects, including a space study and asset assessment of estate buildings for Brunel University. She also leads the Practice’s work on Corporate Social Responsbility.
Her diploma dissertation "Is relative sustainability relevant?" won the RIBA President's Medal in 2005; a shortened version was in the Architectural Research Quarterly. Jess is regularly asked to speak at conferences such as EcoBuild, and has also guest lectured at Brighton University. She was on the judging panel for the RIBA Anne Spink Award 2006.
Jess is a qualified EcoHomes & Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor.
