Engineer

Maria graduated from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona with a  Bachelor of Engineering Equivalent in Electrical Engineering. She went on to gain an MSc in Building Services Engineering from Brunel University in 2004.

She worked for AMEC helping to design the Lighting and Lighting Control system for T5A, going on to lead the electrical design for the British Airways areas, co-ordinating MEP services on site, managing the assembly team on site (draughtsmen and site supervisors), resolving technical queries and procurement issues and getting involved in factory inspection and testing. For the last 3 years Maria worked as an electrical engineer for Buro Happold. During this time she lead the electrical design and site monitoring of several schools and commercial buildings in the UK and abroad, which has given her a broad knowledge of how to achieve the BREEAM requirements by designing buildings with the most suitable technologies and materials using IES and Dialux.

She joined Max Fordham LLP in 2010 to work primarily with the Electrical team.
