I enjoy seeing a project come to life on site, and I take great pride in following through from initial concepts to delivery and handover of the building.

How the building handles is as interesting to me as it is important to its managers and occupiers. As Project Engineer I've led the services delivery through the phases of the construction process, and understand the commercial realities.

An experienced whole building engineer, I enjoy the complexities of designing mixed-mode services. So combining natural ventilation with mechanically-controlled windows, or incorporating river water cooling or biomass heating installations.

As well as overseeing most aspects of mechanical and electrical design, I can also calculate the passive performance of the building, its carbon emissions and assess the benefit of implementing renewables. Fundamentally, it's about delivering buildings with systems that work and use the least resources.
