I understand both the fundamental principles of how buildings work and the physical realities of how they can be constructed and used. This understanding makes it possible for the architectural vision and innovative engineering to deliver a building that works.

During my time at the Practice I have been fortunate to work on a very wide range of projects: from leisure centres to art colleges, HQ office developments to primary schools and from small scale residential schemes to city masterplanning. Each project has its own particular constraints whether it is limited by cost, time, space or any other consideration

This experience of building types and challenges, real and theoretical worlds, helps me to quickly interpret the brief of a new project and truly understand its goals. Above all I've learnt how to defend the client's design priorities when faced with the commercial pressures of the construction process.
