Shree Swaminarayan temple

Shree Swaminarayan Temple

The Shree Swaminarayan Temple in North-West London features an ornate and vibrant exterior, marrying traditional religious architecture with contemporary design.

The building combines prayer space, multi-function rooms, offices, and temporary accommodation for the spiritual leadership of Brent's Hindu community. It is designed for public and community life.

The key engineering challenges centred on acoustically separating the prayer spaces from traffic noise. The Temple has acoustically-attenuated ventilation that allows fresh air in while excluding external noise.

The main temple area is also naturally ventilated and includes under floor heating. A Combined Heat & Power (CHP) unit and a solar panel array have also been installed.
