As consulting environmental and building services engineers, we influence the architecture of buildings and design the services, e.g. lighting, heating and acoustics. We are unusual among building services consultancies in not dividing work among different disciplines, and each engineer works on all aspects of the building services. We have three bases, London, Cambridge and Edinburgh, resulting in 6 groups of engineers, with an average of 20 engineers in each group. There is a hierarchy of engineering experience in each group but no formal structure.

The practice is run democratically, and the environment is informal and sociable. After a period of employment every employee is considered for partnership.
