Felsted music school
The Felsted Music School needed classrooms and practice rooms that reflect their strong focus on vocal and percussion teaching, while maintaining flexibility in the acoustics of performance spaces.
To achieve this, we isolated acoustically sensitive music practice rooms, including a specialist percussion room.
The performance hall is suitable for different acoustic situations, thanks to the deployable absorption in the design, which varies the reverberation time.
A large air-handling unit was located directly behind the bleacher seating in the performance hall and special care was required in the noise-control design in order to achieve internal noise targets.
