Environmental auditing

Sustainable design is central to our approach to every project. As part of this we consider the environmental impact of our decisions, however we are also able to undertake more formal environmental audits.

A number of our engineers are registered assessors.They are trained to provide guidance on a wide range of BREEAM schemes including; offices, education, retail, healthcare, multi-residential, international and bespoke (other buildings). We are also certified to carry out Code for Sustainable Homes assessments and have recently been involved with HQE, the French equivalent of BREEAM.

The assessor carrying out the audit will not have day-to-day involvement with the project, thus ensuring impartiality as required by the BRE. Our engineers understand the process and dynamic of the design team and what advice is required at the critical stages to ensure that the target rating is met.

By dispersing the service throughout the practice, we ensure that BREEAM standards are integral to our designs from the early stages, maximising the environmental performance of our projects.
