Sustainability is an optimistic philosophy at the big-picture scale. To give sustainability meaning it has to be narrowed down to the specific and that is our role as Sustainability Consultant.

In terms of the built environment, many different factors at widely different scales affect sustainability, from water infrastructure at a regional scale to embodied energy of materials. Our sustainability team draws on a wide range of professional backgrounds to provide the breadth of knowledge needed on projects. Taking an analytical and rigorous approach to increasing the level of sustainability, we help to make choices explicit which can than be costed to inform decision-making by a project team.

We believe that success is most likely to result from an integrated design process that includes sustainability from the outset. We encourage clients to involve us from the inception of their projects so that we can help them define their brief before defining a strategy to manage priorities and communicate the objectives to all stakeholders.
