Double win at the 2020 Building Awards!

4 November 2020

We are delighted to announce that Fairfield Halls and The Twist have emerged as the 2020 Building Awards winner in their category!

Fairfield Halls has been crowned the winner of Refurbishment Project of the Year 2020.

We provided M&E, Acoustic, Lighting and BREEAM services for the Redevelopment Project of the renowned 1960’s concert venue in the heart of the London Borough of Croydon.

Working alongside MICA, the major refurbishment modernised the complete building including its historic Concert Hall, Ashcroft Theatre, foyer and front and back of house areas. The project also included the addition of new multi-function and gallery spaces, a community café and an improved public external realm.

The Twist - a gallery, a bridge and a sculpture, all in one building - can now pride itself on the title "International Project of the Year 2020".

Opened in September 2019 by Queen Sonja of Norway, the art gallery at Kistefos Sculpture Park in Norway provides 1,000m2 of dramatic gallery space spanning 60m across the Randselva River.
The gallery provides space to display visual arts with particular focus on international contemporary art.

In collaboration with architects Bjarke Ingles Group (BIG) and an international team of consultants, we developed the gallery's environmental design and MEP systems from initial concepts through to detailed design.
