Info

Our projects are amongst the winners of this year's Greater Cambridge Design and Construction Awards, which celebrate the best in placemaking, design and craft skills locally.

Our Cambridge Office was founded in 2001, and has since contributed to numerous outstanding projects in the city and beyond.

An awards ceremony was held at Jesus College at the University of Cambridge last Wednesday, and we're very pleased to announce that our Practice was recognised with as many as seven awards!

"It was a pleasure to see so many Max Fordham projects pick up awards and commendations. I was delighted when our Civil Engineering building won the coveted award for Engineering and Sustainability, particularly as the award category has been newly re-named in honour of the late Sir David MacKay, who was instrumental in developing the energy cost metric that we used to deliver the project. Fantastic recognition on the night, for the quality of Max Fordham contributions to all these fabulous new and refurbished buildings in Cambridge." - Michael Baldwin, Senior Partner at Max Fordham

The awards are endorsed by the Greater Cambridge Shared Planning Service, a partnership between Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire District Councils, along with the Cambridge Forum for the Construction Industry (CFCI). They are intended to be as comprehensive as possible, encouraging entries from projects of all scales from private home extensions to large developments, individuals to institutions. The list of categories for the building awards encompasses all aspects of construction including design, sustainability, engineering, quality of work, and construction.

  • Building Awards: Best New Building over £2m - Winner awarded to Magdalene College Library
