Max Fordham's 11-piece band, Public M+E, make it two wins in two years at Construction Rocks!

25 October 2018

Last night, Public M+E were crowned 'Best Band' for the second year in a row at the annual Construction Rocks competition.

Construction Rocks is a global charity fundraising initiative, celebrating its 11th anniversary this year. Hosted at Scala in Kings Cross, bands from companies across the construction industry battle it out across two nights to win a range of prizes and to raise money for their chosen charities.

On the first night, Max Fordham’s Public M+E took away the prestigious ‘Best Band’ award for the second year in a row, after playing a 15-minute set of disco and soul covers, paying homage to the likes of Stevie Wonder and Bruno Mars. They were up against some great competition from Hawkins\Brown, Canary Wharf Contractors, Battersea Power Station Development, MACE+Elliot Wood+Stanhope, Wardell Armstrong LLP, Meridian Home Start and Zaha Hadid Architects.

A huge congratulations to the whole Public M+E band - Josh Rodell, Stewart Burns, Fay Walsh, Ed Green, Carlotta Mirri, Katie Clemence, Anna Foden, Thomas Dimasi, Tom Greenhill, Owen Beckett and John Bone.

As part of their entry, the band raised over £1,500 for Construction Rocks’ nominated charity, LandAid, the property industry charity working to end youth homelessness in the UK.
