MAXXI wins World Building of the Year

16 November 2010

MAXXI has been named this year’s best new building in the world at the World Architecture Festival, adding yet another prestigious award to it’s fast-growing credentials.

This is the second prize in as many months for MAXXI, a centre for contemporary arts in Rome – and we are thrilled the building is being acknowledged for it’s integrated and innovative design.

According to World Architecture Festival content director Paul Finch, judges described the building as, “an unwound Guggenheim, with ribbons of connected space.
“It is a building that will still be talked about in the history of architecture in 50 years time.”
