1 December 2020

The New London Awards 2020 winners have been announced, and we’re excited to share that Old Paradise Street, Lambeth has emerged as the winner in the ‘Working’ category! Another three of our projects were ‘highly commended’.

Old Paradise Street, Lambeth will transform a neglected and disused site into a forward-looking sustainable office building which might become a test case for promoting awareness around the carbon impact of buildings.

Working alongside Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, we provided Acoustics services for this project.

The following projects were highly commended within their categories:

Fairfield Halls, Croydon

Fairfield Halls has undergone a major conservation project to sympathetically upgrade the venue, restoring many features from the original 1962 building while creating new sustainable community spaces

Working alongside MICA Architects, we provided M&E, Acoustics, Lighting and BREEAM services.

Hobhouse, Westminster

A part new build, part refurbishment, mixed-use development comprising new residences, offices and retail spaces and an art gallery within a Grade II listed John Nash building.

Working for Bankfoot Group alongside Arquitectonica, Brisac Gonzalez and TP Bennett, we provided M&E and Acoustic design services including assisting the client in attaining planning consent, providing building modelling, and giving early stage sustainability guidance with regards to materials, renewable technology selection and conditioning strategies.

Southbank Undercroft Skate Space, Lambeth

The Southbank Centre Skate project focuses on the Undercroft area of the Queen Elizabeth Hall, aiming to sensitively restore the skaters’ space.
