‘The 4th Epoch: Reinhabiting Desolate Landscapes’ – Jack Spence wins the 2021 Max Fordham Environmental Design Prize
26 July 2021
We are pleased to announce that Jack Spence is the winner of the ninth Max Fordham Environmental Design Prize!
Members of the Max Fordham team have been tutoring at UCL Bartlett School of Architecture for more than a decade. We’ve established a great relationship over that time, which was formally recognised in 2013 by the creation of an award at the annual student Summer Show - which has been a virtual edition again this year.
The Max Fordham Environmental Design Prize is awarded to the 5th year design project that demonstrates the greatest level of ambition, originality, technical innovation and philosophical rigour in the field of environmental design and sustainability. The prize consists of £1,000, to help the student cover their project-related expenses, and consultancy with Max Fordham engineers to further develop the environmental premise of the project.
This year, Jack Spence is the well-deserved winner with his dissertation ‘The 4th Epoch: Reinhabiting Desolate Landscapes’! You can read more about the winning project here.
Congratulations, Jack!
