Designing a building is not only following standards and regulations. It is creativity, imagination; it is making an idea work in the real world.

The design process for a building means to integrate all the disciplines, standard requirements, construction needs, maintenance constraints, environmental performances, and above all the comfort of people.

This process is fascinating: It requires a good balance between experience and creativity, technical knowledge and ability, imagination and real world needs. Building services design should acknowledge these needs rather than impose new ones.

I had the opportunity to work on different types of buildings such as hospitals, theatres, and sport complexes. I also worked with different design teams around the world. This experience supports me in designing a holistic building, where integration signifies synthesis of disciplines: Beautiful Engineering.
