Project Engineers are at the core of our projects, being the people in charge of the day-to-day running of projects and acting as the first port of call both internally and externally.  As such, they will have the most detailed knowledge about all aspects of their projects.

Right now, we are looking for engineers who are able to see the big picture and influence positive outcomes:  meeting the needs of clients and our society; using design to proactively respond to the climate emergency; communicating clearly and collaborating effectively with our clients and others to deliver world-class sustainable buildings.

If you are successful, you will work on a wide range of projects and sectors, which all require a thoughtful and rigorous approach to design and delivery. Our people enjoy contributing to the process of collaborative working - from developing a well thought out brief, to delivering a building or project that exceeds the client’s expectations.

For the right candidate, there may be an exciting opportunity to begin to run a team of engineers, as well as contributing to the development of the Cambridge office and the wider practice.

You will be inspired by beautiful engineering design.  Whilst being able to work on your own, you will be motivated to work collaboratively and instil confidence in others, contributing positively to the team.

You will be able to demonstrate significant design and project management experience with an established engineering practice.  It is very likely that you will be chartered, or working towards chartered status, and will have a sound understanding of building services system design.  You will have the ability to represent most aspects of MEP engineering design coordination at meetings with the project design team and client.

This role requires you to represent the practice on projects, on a day to day basis, and so it is important to demonstrate your previous experience working on high quality architectural projects, from inception to practical completion.

It is likely that you will have experience of leading small groups of engineers; either taking primary responsibility for smaller projects or leading an area of design on mid-size or larger projects. To be successful in this role, it is essential that you are able to prioritise a highly varied and demanding workload.
