About the Role

This is an exciting time for our Practice. We are growing our central HR Team with two new members to help us deliver our strategic aims and objectives and realise our ambitions for our Business. This important role is one of two that will form an integral part of our Central HR Team, and will focus on all aspects of recruitment, which is an essential part of the work undertaken by the team.

This role will provide the right person with opportunities to grow and develop new skills, particularly in areas such as Talent Attraction, Employer Brand, Employee Experience and Inclusion & Diversity.  It is perfect for an enthusiastic, motivated person who is keen to progress a career in HR and Recruitment in a unique environment. Our Practice is not about following and implementing process-driven activities, but about building relationships, and engaging with the people in our Practice to help all those who work here achieve their highest potential.

The core function of the role is to coordinate all aspects of the in-house recruitment process from the advertisement of roles, to overseeing the review and selection process, organising interviews, and running the onboarding and induction process. It will also require a proactive approach to publicising roles to attract the best talent and improve our Employer Brand and industry presence.

Working closely with our HR Advisor who leads on our Recruitment activity, and ensuring significant interaction with people from all our offices around the UK, the key aspects of the HR Recruitment Coordinator role include:

  • Working with the HR Advisor to develop role descriptions with hiring managers, providing consistency from the job advert to the criteria used for selection, with attention to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Coordinating advertisements, publishing them to our website and external job boards, promoting them on professional networks and social media, and tracking overall advertising spending.
  • Maintaining the Job Application email account, responding to applicants, following up and maintaining contact with applicants and selected recruiters under the direction of the HR Advisor.
  • Using our Applicant Tracking System to track roles and candidates, sharing candidates with hiring managers and facilitating the review and selection process.
  • Arranging candidate interviews, assisting with the coordination of interview selection criteria and specific interview requirements.
  • Coordinating interview outcome responses and working with the HR Advisor to issue offers of employment.
  • Overlap with all HR team members to develop and strengthen induction processes and experience, ensuring a smooth and engaging recruitment and onboarding experience and ensuring that accurate HR records are kept and stored in respect of GDPR requirements.
  • Liaising with the Communications & Marketing team for employer brand management, to develop our social media presence using our professional networks and promote Max Fordham as an Employer of Choice.
  • Working with others in the practice to developing an outreach programme for securing future talent, building relationships with universities, and attending recruitment fairs as required.
