Juergen Teller Studio

Nestled in a narrow former industrial site in West London lies the headquarters of acclaimed photographer Juergen Teller.

Continuing our relationship with 6a Architects, Max Fordham worked on the mechanical and electrical engineering and acoustic design for the studio. The new buildings, separated by courtyards, include offices, storage, a studio, library, gym and a sauna. The project is designed to be very low-energy, with a highly insulated and air-tight fabric.

The studio features of a number of sustainable technologies, including solar thermal hot water and a rooftop PV array. Natural ventilation with night-cooling, exposed thermal mass and solar-control glazing also serve to keep occupants cool and energy use low..
