Max Fordham features on Kevin's Grand Design

30 November 2011

Max Fordham’s work has made it to the small screen, thanks to Kevin’s Grand Design airing on Channel Four on Thursday 8 December.

The show follows the development of The Triangle, a social housing project by architect Glenn Howells for Kevin McCloud’s development company HAB Oakus.

We were brought on-board the design team to help deliver homes which are comfortable, desirable and have low carbon emissions.

As building services and environmental engineers on the project, we advised on the building’s form, material and orientation and selected innovative yet proven heat and ventilation systems.

Project Engineer Bertie Dixon said our work on the project was pivotal to achieving the project’s aim.

“Our designs controlled the flows of heat, light, air, water, electricity and sound, which help to create healthy, airy and bright homes.

“We did this in an innovative but robust way, using traditional techniques and new technologies. We are very proud of our work on the project.”
