"My aim as a building services engineer is to ensure that we design buildings to be as efficient as possible. Whether that be by specifying the correct equipment or through the design process itself, it should always be our main objective to create a building that has a positive environmental impact on the world around it.

BIM allows for more efficient design of buildings, with the whole design team being able to effectively communicate their design solutions from concept to construction stage. Getting this right from an early stage is vital and makes the whole design process much simpler.

My engineering experience ranges from designing theatres to large scale residential schemes. I'm also a humble expert in modelling building systems and design solutions, including everything from service routes at concept stage, through to fully coordinated as-built BIM models for the client to use for commissioning or maintenance."
