New research that looked at the wider design team involved with the nominated architects in the last five prize ‘cycles’ shows that Max Fordham had worked on almost a quarter of the 30 projects shortlisted for the UK's most prestigious architecture award.
We have a portfolio of seven shortlisted projects, including three of this year’s finalists – A House for Artists by Apparata, Central Somers Town Community Facilities and Housing by Adam Khan Architects. and Witherford Watson Mann’s Courtauld Institute of Art.
It comes as the Courtauld Institute of Art was named winner of the RIBA's Stirling Prize People's Poll 2023, with voters praising the 'subtle and striking' retrofit.
ING Media, who carried out the research, said the analysis offers ‘a fresh perspective on the coveted architectural award, which requires buildings to demonstrate excellence in every area of design if they are to reach the shortlist’.
