Buildings can have a profound effect on the way people feel. I work hard to understand the needs of building occupants, our clients, architects and other team members to deliver buildings we can all delight in.

Having delivered a range of projects across various sectors, each with differing budgets and programmes, I’ve learnt to adapt my approach to design, procurement and construction processes. Each building has been a unique response to a unique client and site.

My aim, first and foremost, is for buildings to function well. This means needing to be sustainable – not just efficient, but enjoyable to inhabit and adaptable to future uses.

In my experience collaboration is an important part of delivering sustainable buildings. Often the most effective and beautiful solutions are those that span the boundaries between construction disciplines. I’m open to other designer’s aspirations and encourage us to work together as a team to respond to challenges.
