Our projects are shortlisted for seven 2026 AJ Architecture Awards

The Architects Journal Awards, spanning 21 categories, highlight the very best in architecture and the built environment in the UK. We're proud to have projects shortlisted in the Cultural, Higher Education, Leisure, Community and Faith categories, showcasing the breadth of sectors in which we work. This year's list includes:

Science & Industry Museum, Andrew Law Gallery, Power Hall with Carmody Groarke - Cultural Project (up to £20M) 
A major conservation and upgrade of the Grade II-listed Power Hall at the Science and Industry Museum and part of a multi-million-pound regeneration project at the industrial heritage site.

BEAM, Hertford with Bennetts Associates - Cultural Project (£20M and over)
BEAM is a transformation of Hertford Theatre, creating a fossil fuel-free multi-purpose arts and culture venue for live performances and film. 

University of Oxford Humanities Building with Hopkins Architects - Higher Education, School and Health 
The Schwarzman Centre is a large-scale Passivhaus scheme that provides a unique mix of academic teaching facilities for Oxford students and staff, along with world-class research and performance spaces. 

Corpus Christi College New Special Collection Centre with Wright & Wright Architects - Higher Education, School and Health
The Spencer Building is a new 480m² Passivhaus-certified, purpose-built library and special collections centre at Corpus Christi College. It houses the college's highly valued special collection of manuscripts and early printed books, including works by Erasmus, the Venerable Bede and Galileo. 

St Paul's Junior School with Hawkins / Brown - Higher Education, School and Health
A new home for St Paul's Junior School offering a modern, vibrant learning environment spread across two buildings, with a strong connection to its varied landscape in Barnes.  

Quintin Boat House with Assorted Skills + Talent (AST) - Leisure
An expansion and refurbishment of the historic boathouse on the Thames, supporting the boat club's goal of reaching a wider demographic in the sport of rowing. 

Eagle House with IFDO for Hastings Common - Community and Faith 
Eagle House is the transformation of a historic 1867 Victorian building in Hastings into a community and youth centre. The project forms part of the Hastings Commons initiative to bring underused buildings into long-term community ownership.
