RIBA and RIAS Roundup 2026 - 18 of our projects have been shortlisted!

The RIAS and RIBA regional shortlists have been announced and we're delighted that 18 of our projects are shortlisted across eight regions.

RIBA London Awards shortlist

  1. Plashet Road with Levitt Bernstein Architects - A 65-home scheme in Newham designed to Passivhaus standards
  2. Raymond Chandler Library at Dulwich College with alma-nac architects - A new library designed to adjoin two existing post-war Austin Vernon buildings. The project prioritised low embodied carbon.
  3. Lion Green Road with Mary Duggan Architects - 157 new dwellings distributed across five sculpted pavilions with passive ventilation strategies.
  4. Natural History Museum - Urban Nature Project with Feilden Fowles - A five-acre site in South Kensington transformed into a biologically rich green space, providing an outdoor connection for visitors.
  5. Westminster Coroners Court with Lynch Architects - The renovation and extension of Westminster Coroner’s Court, a Grade II-listed late Victorian building, providing new office space for the coroner and staff, and improved facilities for jurors and visitors.
  6. Wembley Link with Howells Architects - A 256-unit development of new build-to-rent homes in two 17 and 19-storey brick towers in central Wembley

RIBA East Awards shortlist

  1. Pembroke College Mill Lane Development with Haworth Tompkins - A significant expansion of the college, including the creation of a new residential court and the extension of several historic buildings.
  2. Hertford Theatre with Bennetts Architects - The transformation of the theatre into a fossil fuel-free multi-purpose arts and culture venue for live performances and film.
  3. Clare College, River Wing with Witherford Watson Mann Architects - The refurbishment of existing buildings and creation of a new oak-framed River Room cafe on a narrow site within the Grade I-listed Clare College at Cambridge University.

RIBA North East Awards shortlist

  1. Locomotion at the National Railway Museum with AOC - The transformation of the National Railway Museum's sister museum, Locomotion in Shildon, to create a new low-energy collections building

RIBA Northwest and McEwan Award

  1. Rochdale Town Hall with Donald Insall Associates - An extensive restoration and upgrade of the Grade I-listed Rochdale Town Hall, making the community space fully accessible and available for the community.

RIBA South Awards shortlist

  1. Spencer Building, Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford with Wright & Wright Architects - A new Passivhaus-certified, purpose-built library and special collections centre housing the college's highly valued special collection of manuscripts and early printed books, including works by Erasmus, the Venerable Bede and Galileo.

RIBA South West and Wessex Awards shortlist

  1. University of Bristol TQEC Research Hub with Allford Hall Monaghan Morris - A new research hub providing facilities for the Bristol Digital Futures Institute (BDFI) and a home for MyWorld, a hub focused on bringing together leaders in creative technology innovation. 
  2. Bristol Beacon with Levitt Bernstein Architects - we provided Post Occupancy Evaluation for this refurbishment of the Grade II-listed concert hall and ancillary spaces.

RIBA South East Awards shortlist

  1. Sevenoaks School New House with Tim Ronalds Architects - The sister house to the award-winning boarding accommodation Aisher House. New House provides fully electric accommodation for 60 female students, and is designed to Passivhaus principles.
  2. Mayfield School Boarding House and Health and Wellbeing Centre with Adam Richards Architects - New build student accommodation and a health and wellness centre for a girls' school.

RIAS shortlist

  1. Hospitalfield Arts with Caruso St John Architects - A redevelopment masterplan of the historic Hospitalfield House Estate in Angus, Scotland.
  2. Kilmartin Museum with Reiach and Hall Architects - A newly renovated and extended museum featuring thousands of prehistoric artefacts to showcase 12,000 years of history in Argyll and Bute, Scotland
