This past Thursday, the 25th of September, we invited local Camden practices to join us in a sponsored walk for the Camden Food Bank, proudly raising £1,060 for the charity close to our hearts. We were joined by friends and colleagues from the foodbank, MICA Architects, Piercy & Co, Sheppard Robson, vPPR, Walters & Cohen and Wright & Wright.

The walk took us on a tour of Max Fordham highlights, including the new Camden Foodbank premises, Max’s House, Agar Grove, and the Kentish Town Sports Centre.

“Camden Foodbank would like to thank Max Fordham for arranging a walking tour of Camden, with drinks and snacks in their offices afterwards, to raise money for local adults, children and families living in food poverty.

The lovely people they invited donated a huge £1,060 plus gift aid to support Camden Foodbank, who provide 3-day emergency food parcels for local people in food crisis.

Max Fordham is a super-great friend to Camden Foodbank. They have supported us in many ways over the past years, and we are very grateful to them. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated money, it will make a huge difference to local people living in poverty.”

Jackie Pepper, Support Manager at Camden Foodbank Camden Foodbank

We are working alongside architects Sheppard Robson to provide pro bono design advice, supporting the refurbishment of their new premises on Carol Street, which will be much more suitable to support their operations.

Camden Foodbank is part of the Trussell group of foodbanks in the U.K., supporting adults and children in food poverty in the borough of Camden since 2012 with three-day emergency food parcels. Over the past five years, they have distributed more than 168 tons of food to over 20,000 local residents. In the last couple of years, the demand has increased by 37% and help is needed to support Camden Foodbank to manage and support the rising crisis.

Since April 2024, we have been supporting Camden Foodbank with monthly volunteers, ad-hoc unpacking of large deliveries, and organising a collection on behalf of local architectural collaborators (and ourselves).

Thank you to everyone who turned out to support a great cause!
