Reflections: Can you draw a bicycle?
The annual Stirling Prize happens every October. This year, four projects we've worked on are up for the prize. We've been reflecting on our work on these projects and what the prize means to us.
We sat down with Anna Bardos, Principal Sustainability Consultant and Nick Cramp, Director of Light+Air, to hear their thoughts.
"There's one thing which is the great honour to get on a shortlist or to get an award. The other is the people to whom it really matters, and that's the people using the building. Ideally, you want to do both."

“I think it’s a great honour to have a building on the Stirling Prize shortlist. It’s very heartening for me to see more and more of our projects shortlisted and winning this prize.“

We've worked on the following 17 projects that have been shortlisted or have won the Stirling Prize:
“There are a lot of ways that a building can be sustainable. But one of the really basic ways is it has to be well-loved. It has to be something that people are going to want to keep using, maybe for lots of different uses over the course of its life.“

“So I think a good building is unique, and of course, I think a good building is sustainable. We try and do something the best way we possibly can. I think when you do that, the right solution stands out. But it is kind of simple, and it is logical, and it feels right, and we call that beautiful.“
