Andrew is at the forefront of designing to mitigate the Climate Emergency, creating comfortable, low-energy, low-carbon buildings that owners and users can enjoy and be proud of.
Andrew started his career in off-shore industry, but his heart was in renewables and sustainability. He joined Max Fordham in 2005 and is now an MEP Director in our Edinburgh office, responsible for project delivery, winning new projects and supporting clients. Andrew has an open approach and easy manner, and a huge amount of sustainability knowledge and expertise. He also has a profile in the wider industry, contributing to the climate debate in the press, webinars and podcasts.
Andrew has delivered projects across a broad range of sectors, including mixed-use residential, cultural, sports, education, heritage and retrofit. A few of his career highlights so far include the 2012 Olympic Water Polo Venue, Theatre Royal Glasgow and the regeneration of the Burridge Gardens Peabody estate.
He is a committee member for Engineers Declare, and a visiting tutor at University of Edinburgh School of Architecture, and the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture.
Andrew has embraced sustainable living and can often be seen riding his bike around town. He has an all-electric home and EV.
