Max Fordham is appointed as MEP Consultant on the National Gallery's landmark Project Domani

We're proud to have been appointed to the design team supporting the £750 million transformation of the National Gallery, working alongside Kengo Kuma and Associates, BDP and MICA, who won the international architectural design competition earlier this year.

The transformation aspires to expand not only the museum's physical footprint but also its collection by acquiring 20^th and 21^st-century paintings, providing visitors with a history of art from the 13^th to the 21^st centuries. A new wing housing the latter collections will be sited on the last remaining parcel of the National Gallery campus, between Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square.

This appointment builds on our portfolio of major cultural projects in London and further afield, including the National Portrait Gallery, Tate Modern, Tate Britain, The Courtauld Gallery, the Natural History Museum, Southbank Centre, Musée d'Art de Nantes, MAXXI, Rome, The Twist, Kistefos, and the Royal Observatory Greenwich, where we have focused on creating the best possible environmental conditions for both the artwork and the visitors in a responsible, considered and sustainable way.
