Mark Palmer

Mark’s passion lies in demystifying engineering. He has hands-on, cross-sector experience and understands how buildings really work in practice and where it's sensible to innovate.

Mark is the leader of our Scottish office in Edinburgh and has been there from the very beginning. He was keen to set our Scottish office apart from the competition from the outset, fostering a working environment where the team have freedom to come up with interesting and high quality solutions which aren’t constrained. 

Mark delivered our designs on the ultra-low energy Ravelin Sports Centre, into which he poured a career of learning. The project achieved ambitious targets for energy use and sustainability, including a BREEAM 'Outstanding' rating. The design is fossil fuel-free and has demonstrated an operational energy consumption of less than 100 kWh/m²/yr – a level of performance which hails a new era for sports centres across the UK and internationally.
