More than 90% of inhabitants in James Town, Ghana live below the poverty line.

Working in association with charity Article 25,  engineers from Max Fordham helped design the Learning Hub, an educational facility aimed at redressing that statistic.

It includes workshop areas, classrooms, study space, a library, office space and new toilet facilities. Max Fordham advised on the environmental design, lighting design and drainage.

The Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) uses the building for their successful educational outreach programme.
