New Generation Village Burundi

New Generation Village, Burundi

Max Fordham has partnered with Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and UK charity Street Action, to design a village for street children in Burundi.

Our engineers are involved in the intial development of environmental design, electrical infrastructure, photovoltaic energy, stormwater drainage and water supply for the village.

The design is aiming to provide occupant comfort, as well as reduce construction costs and lower the cement content of the building materials used. Cooking facilities and a communal hall have been integrated into the design. The facility has been allied with a local NGO working with street children in Muyinga, Burundi.
