Pop Brixton

Pop Brixton

This unique public space in south London is home to independent start-ups serving a thriving local community.

The innovative project includes a vibrant and inexpensive shopping destination for residents and visitors. Located close to Brixton station, the pop-up campus was created from low-energy, low-cost shipping containers with a focus on being environmentally friendly.

Designed with Carl Turner Architects, Max Fordham’s work included environmental and building services design and planning guidance for the project. This involved designing above-ground drainage strategies, acoustic advice for the event space and natural ventilation procedures to limit overheating.
