Sustainability expert Bill Gething joins forces with Max Fordham

Sustainability expert Bill Gething is collaborating with Max Fordham to develop the work of its growing sustainability consultancy team.

Gething, a former partner of Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, is an internationally renowned communicator of sustainability in architecture and also a visiting Professor at the University of Bath.

"The role feels like the natural progression of a 15-year personal association with Max Fordham" said Gething. Gething is helping widen the sustainability outlook, starting with the client brief and extending right through the design and construction process to the after-care of the practice's projects.  The role includes close involvement with Max Fordham's building services engineering teams to add to their understanding of the whole building.

Adam Ritchie, senior partner at Max Fordham, says Gething’s involvement will add tremendous value to the work of the practice. "We are always trying to cross the boundaries of traditional disciplines." Ritchie noted. "By bringing together experts in sustainability from different backgrounds we take advantage of opportunities a less integrated approach might not even find".
